Step 1: See If Your School Qualifies
First things first: You'll want to be sure your school is eligible for the Presidential Youth Fitness Program funding opportunity before you begin to work on your application. In addition, please ensure you are aware of what this funding doesn't cover.
Step 2: Complete the Application Worksheet
We want to make sure you complete your application for funding by the May 10 deadline. So we've provided an application worksheet that will help you gather the information you need. The application worksheet doesn't qualify as your application, but it is a critical step in preparing your application.
Step 3: Complete and Submit Your Application Between April 1 and April 30, 2014
Your online application should be completed by May 10, 2013 (11:59 p.m. ET), and be accompanied by signed copies of the letters below from your school's principal and physical educator. Be sure to complete your individual sections for both template letters. You will need to upload your modified versions of these letters with your online application.
Applicants should also download and read The Cooper Institute Web Hosting Memorandum of Understanding, below. You will not need to submit this memorandum with your application, but you will need to supply the name of the individual (generally the school principal) who takes responsibility for agreeing to its terms. Print the document for review and approval by the appropriate person, and keep a copy for your records.
Download and prepare your application worksheet and the documents below before submitting your application online.
